He has always been my favourite greyhound along with Flying Amy and Iceni Princess. I don't mind this option, although the
family ties are close. I think Raw Ability was a well above average dog.

Hi Rodney,

Thats what I wld call duplicating Awesome Assassin(AA).

You can see here https:/ CLICK HERE different individuals in Miss Mini Mouse's(MMM) pedigree namely New Tears, Chariot Supreme, Shining Light, Acacia Ablaze, Eaglehawk Star, are are also duplicated in AA's pedigree.

So within 5 generations 14 of the 16 lines(88%) in the 5th generation of AA's pedigree are also contained in MMM's pedigree......MMM is recreating AA at a very high percentage through different individuals within 5 generations in her pedigree.

Rather than just duplicating the dog (AA), when you replicate him in this manner with a bitch that carries individuals that make up a very high percentage of AA's pedigree, it's an opportunity for a breeder to create vigour within the pedigree if those genes click.

That's the true essence of linebreeding as I see it - replicating through different individuals, as distinct from duplicating that individual.

Duplicating has it's purpose too especially if placed in genetically viable positions such as xx, xy, etc., but as a breeder if you can start to replicate superior individuals such as AA who was an 8x trk record holder, that in turn gives you an opportunity to create nicks that may suit your damline and hopefully ignite the mating to produce a city grade conveyance.
