How do you get to trial up the new straight at Richmond?

On The Clock state that bookings open this morning at 7am. After missing out last week when I attempted to book at 7.15am, today I logged in at 7am only to discover the entire session was completely booked out.
What's going on? The whole trialling session booked out in less than a minute???

I just wish my race dogs could get out of the boxes as quick.

Its a new facility and would expect to be popular.

Perhaps their hours should be expanded initially to accommodate everyone who wants to trial until they get a pattern of usage then they can put restrictions on days and times

Ray you are no hope. what Richmond do not want to admit, is that they use a personal log in for prominent trainers, would not matter if you logged in at 7am or 12 noon, it would not matter. Twenty other trainers tried the same thing and have got nowhere. It's the same with the circle trials.

Yep it goes in about 30seconds. I was lucky enough to get one at midday Last week I wasn't so lucky I log on at 6.55 and keep refreshing the shit outta it. Once 7am comes I just click hell for leather hoping something sticks at any time. Chris tried too As for now u can't be picky on what time u get

Sell them ??,....come on Kayla, you've got that much folding stuff that you can afford to give 'em away LOL,it was great to see Shaun take out the inaugural first ever official race at the track...& you have been going pretty good too,you guys & Nutty put a hell of lot into the industry & deserve all the success that you all achieve,& i know that it don't matter if it is a Group 1,or a maiden, you just love them all the same.Hopefully catch up with you & Shaun again soon.
PS,Jimmy went around Matt's bullring the other day, loved it,& geez, didn't he give Larry the lure some stick,ha ha ha ha....hope Matt don't charge me for a new one lol.

Was just thinking if Richmond have considered having a dual meeting by having a "Super Saturday" race meeting ?

With proper promotion,& of course Tabcorp & Sky Racing's support,it could stage 6 circle races & 6 straight track races, personally, I think it would be very successful.

Any thoughts on that ?

That is great news. Gives ALL the fifth grade dogs nommed a chance to have a run.
Very elitist programming by the Richmond club to say the least. Well done.

My apologies. Elitist from whom ever is responsible for running a twelve race country meeting and not putting on single fifth grade race.

Anyone have any rough times for the trials yesterday in the rain. I looked down the straight after my dogs trial to see if he lost a leg :-(

Vic, i trialled 3 times before first meeting. For what it's worth i think the lure run up ( different sound & timing}) would put a lot of circle dogs off until they get used to it. Also i think the sand comes out too far from the catching pen. Some slacken off before the post. I think it would take at least 2 goes before you know if it suits your dog. Just my opinion. Some will love it, some wont.
