Jack broke the magical 17-second mark for the second section at Shelbourne Park, running a sensational 16.96 (one of only two during 2021 Derby to do so). His 12.14 run home is one of the best ever seen. Jacks 29.10PB at Shelbourne Park (fourth fastest ever) in round one of the Irish Derby was recorded days after his second birthday. The second fastest heat winner was six lengths slower. His feature race wins included the Rural Hawaii Unraced Stake at Clonmel and the Champion Plate at Shelbourne, by seven lengths. It was part of a seven-race winning streak that flowed into the Derby.
