Do you have questions about breeding theories?
Or do you need tips on how to rear your pups?

Would you rather...........?

This topic came up over beers last night.

Would you rather own a great stud dog or a great brood bitch?

I reckon I know what the majority would prefer to have, but I'm interested in peoples thoughts.

A Stud dog for the more immediate returns, though for longevity, a brood, especially if I had the property to breed and rear my own.

Id Prefer a Stud Dog.
For example, how much money would Fernando Bale have made connections compared to Solar Pak.
For me its a no brainer.

Broodie every day.

Whelping and rearing pups is one of life's great experiences. And watching those puppies win a race is so rewarding.

A stud dog is all about business.

For the dollars a great stud dog. But there's a few great stud dogs that never get enough opportunity to show just how truly great they are and a few average stud dogs where weight in numbers make them look great

For personal satisfaction a great broodie. No greater feeling than watching a dog you bred, whelped and reared win a maiden let alone a bigger race

I really miss the breeding, whelping, rearing, breaking in part of the game. I'd be a Brood bitch man too.
