Race 3 wenty , why is there a number plate in front of the favs box /box 7

Premier track and no steward for a final look at the front of boxes

We claim to be the best in the world but frankly far from it , who would have thought Ireland do it better in every way for welfare for the dog

Final check on boxing with a wave of a flag , check !

Dogs seeded ! Check no interference out of boxes

Lure on the outside for cleaner jumping and longer viewing of the lure around corners
Check

Finish ons down the back straight after the winning post ! Check

No need for bull crap random box draws

Wenty your a joke

Aus wide , need to wake up , amateur at best

It still won ( 7 ), on jumping had that plate behind nearside fore leg, up under neck, and crossing front offside leg. Was a steel garden rake last time i seen something similar. Someone's a bit tardy.

Hey guys , just watched the replay and that could of turned out very bad indeed. The plate was actually obscuring the rail side of the sevens vision. If it didnt fall off the top of the boxes and land and stay where it did, then you would think it was deliberately placed there. I figure it was left there with the reserve number being placed on box six. Big job that one with two things to do. Either way who ever left it there should be accountable and treated the same way a trainer is regarding the welfare to the dogs. Will we even here about this. Weird it was the favourites view that was obscured. Why not sit it near box five. Is it something more sinister. A number of people could of alerted the driver pre race. You would think the race caller would of noticed it. Anyway the sign on the front of the boxes says it all. Cheers

Yeah, giddy-up. They knew they'd be on the replay. I wouldn't do it, but each to their own, lol.

Ha ha, you'd love to have had him! Those 3 blokes may produce a Champion like Lloydy. (Wonder if Werty has a pedigree chart)?

That Tom Foolery wouldn't of occurred under Agent 86's watch if still in charge at Wenty all 3 of them would have been frog marched out of the joint along with the box attendant for the gate Number plate fiasco. Mr Smart had me under surveillance ( coz once I snuck in for nothing ) when on my last visit and he wasn't even working for the club at the time I bumped into him within 1 minute of arrival on a crowded MDC night, it was the 3rd time I'd ever been to the joint. No. 86 a "smart" operator that bloke they need him back on deck. - Mexican Macwollie

Glad you mentioned the number plate Peter as thats what this topic is about , not the knobs on the fence. Ho cares who their riding the welfare of the greyhounds is what trainers get hammered for. The welfare of all those dogs was put at risk. Maybe if they coloured the numbers on both sides it would of been noticed. How good would of that looked on TV if the dog had its leg half chopped off or worse. The antis would of been all over it and made a mockery of the sport. That is why GWIC was formed in the first place. Cheers

Your sounding like a Drama Queen Michael
"How good would of that looked on TV if the dog had it's leg half chopped off or worse" ...........Truth is NOTHING HAPPENED!

That is exactly how the anti's would of portrayed it.

"The welfare of all those dogs was put at risk" How so Michael?

Try and see it for what is was, A careless mistake! fortunately no dog was injured. And put in practice methods to prevent it ever reoccurring again.
Time to move on

Dont think so Terry but your entitled to your opinion. I guess none of those dogs were yours Terry. So you think nothing could of happened Terry. Is that what your saying. Do you think you could handle that job Terry ,replacing one number with another and making sure you take one with you? This is our premier track. It is Da 202Da2 isnt it Terry. If you done a risk assessment on this simple task the risk for injury would be high. How could you fix it Terry, could you paint the number on both sides so it would be visible as it was hard to see at first. Or could the steward carry a shoulder bag so nothing is placed on the ground. Take da one number out of da bag and put one back in da bag. Risk is now lowered. Maybe in 2050 Terry. Truth is something did happen Terry. Cheers

Nothing happened did it ?

Maybe instead of talking shyt look at the report
The emergency had a laceration ! You know the other dog that was also next to fallen plate

So Poeple do years work with their canine to finally get to the app pinnacle of our sport and have a metal plate flying around the dogs at the most crucial time of a dogs race and all you can comment on is 3 dudes and say nothing happened ?

There was an incident actually and who cares if nothing eventuated, its like having 3 hazards in your paddocks and getting warned by gwic or a fine and saying to them nothings happened so far ?

Whats your point ?

What if next start to the dog in question who has a wound now , Baulks every time out of the box ?

Still nothing happened ? How do u know how the dog thinks now

As long as 3 dudes had fun but hey ! Thats the important thing isnt it
Rather sound like a drama queen then a dumb Fuk
