rex can you get hold of compressed salmon oil? 100% oil, no additives and gives the dogs a lovely coat.
as for cod liver oil, the dosage you mention is more than enough for a daily dose in any size greyhound,it would all depend just what percentage of oil is present in your main dry meal or kibble as you call it,if its high in oil then you should not need much oil at all as an additive.

Perfectly true, sounds like vitamin a toxicity, too much is not good and the dog is probably getting enough without cod liver oil, vitamin a is stored in the liver for long periods of time, a good supplement to help is to use milk thistle , best of luck ..

Rex, I add a t-spoon (of the liquid "vet grade" type)in each nightly feed.
I buy it by the litre and get it from Garrards. The web details on the bottle are.. EXTERNAL LINK (go to our products, value plus then nutritional suppliments, its somewhere in there)

Cheers
Rich

Rex ,
would not give that amount maybe 1 per week. would give a teaspoon of chia twice a week.plus 1 teaspoon of linseed oil twice a week.Greyhounds have a small liver which in many cases are quite crappy.Could pay to do a fecal float for worms.

Yes, that would be correct, too much cod liver oil can be harmful to a dogs liver..Not saying don't use it, but don't give too much A good balance of omega 3/6 & 9 are great for for you dogs health and endurance.
