The dog is an absolute freak. Extremely consistent from the boxes. Superior pace approaching and throughout the 1st turn and maintains it up the back straight whilst breaking his opponents hearts and lungs and strong enough to hold off all challengers including extremely worthy ones like Dyna Double One and many other top quality greyhounds that are finishing behind him.

A bit of topic but I wished Shakey Jakey had continued to race. Hard to believe that he was easily quicker than Fernando Bale. I don't think he would have been as dominant as he might not have possessed the brilliant early speed but it just highlights how fast he actually was. And nothing about the track being "doctored" for when Shakey Jakey was racing as it was pretty good last night.

Still taking nothing away from Fernando Bale and the freak he is and deserves every accolade he gets and the industry leaders should be pumping him up as much as possible because the industry needs some positivity!

Stephen why do people like you keep knocking Shakey Jakey the differences between the 2 tracks was last nites track was far quicker than what Shakey ran his record on Shakey had a run home of 11.33 clock it if you like FB has a 11.58.They are bloody both good dogs no fears there just different racing styles when Shakey was on the circle meaning Winning post to Winning post he blistered I have never seen a dog go quicker that and you can chuck em all in the day Shakey ran the average was 29.99 which is pretty good for a group of maidens and going thru last years winner Bessy Boo the best he could ever manage was a 29.71 last nite he ran 29.58 not quite 2/10ths faster than his best Dyna Double One ran a tenth quicker than his best and let not forget the winner Fernando Bale = Punch One Out's old record.I think last nites track was made to order for quick runs and that's what they got a track winning average of 29.71 much quicker than an average Sat nite track by 3 lgths on the nite I thought Bessy was the best run coming from behind and motoring home

History repeats .

I believe Fernando Bale could become our next super Sire a breed shifter as great as Temlee and Waverly supreme and co .

We have a look throughout history in every Country and we see trends and even more so today because of the genes we can now use to infuse our already speedy lines with longevity and strength and chase from the US .

FB has the sire line that will work with so many American bitches we now have in Australia and with the recent influx of American sires it is just right to mix so well.

He is massively overrated, wouldn't stand a chance against past champions.

Overrated my arse.Incredibly consistent at a pace all others cannot generate a TRUE flying machine with impeccable race manners.
Flying Amy head and shoulders above a lot you mentioned too.

You are dreaming if you dont include the MIGHTY Rapid Journey!!!

Also if you are going to even bother throwing Bekim Bale into the mix then YOU MUST include his litter brother Heston Bale

i dont like to compare dogs from times gone by, because we will never no who would be the best, but with fernando bale , he pefect out of the boxes he perfect to the first split, he perfect to the second split, and he keeps running low 29, around wentworth park, and sandown, meadows, and over a three week period, he keeps running time, i would say if bret lee and fernando bale was in the same race fernando by a nose

I can only compare what I have seen and I believe there has been plenty of superior dogs to Fernando Bale.

Matt everyone has their own Favorites but just imagine is FB stays racing for another 6 months now that will be one hell of a exciting racing career and the way he runs the bends is something very few dogs can manage and the last one I seen run the bends so well was the mighty Brett Lee.

He just does it at box rise and then extends up the back and runs the turns like he is riding on the rail with not a single flaw in his stride.

He is a super star.....no doubt about it and there is not a dog racing today who is so exciting to watch week after week ...

People have very short memories ...indeed ...its almost a joke

I suggest people Google Brett lee & view his runs including two city track records in Group 1 finals ...amongst other TRs.... Yes TRs

Ps ...I noted that people mentioned flying amy as one the fastest ...why no mention her faster sister, Tenthill Doll...she was the only modern greyhound I know to break 3 city tracks (she broke Wenty TR 3 times) whilst contesting 3 group 1s which she won all 3 ...Wenty (Easter egg), sandown (Australian cup) & Cannington (Perth cup) ...

Damn straight Fernando is a freak, but Brett Lee, not quite yet he still needs to run a 28 somewhere. He (Brett Lee) still has the record at angle park

Fernando is still a young dog and the way he keeps improving I cant see why he wont break a few records he is definitely the best 500 dog running around at the moment and nobody can deny that he has a big future ahead of him

Fernando bale is a far superior dog to what's running around at the minute and yes it would be ideal if he had other dogs to compare him by example, El grand senor vs radley bale and the level of good dogs around at that time I believe supersedes what is currently running around now!

But reality is he can only race his peers at the time and now he is many lengths beyond them!

If you were to use him as a sire is he quick early, does he chase hard, is he strong, is his temperament ideal for the bitch you are putting him to? You would be nuts not to use him, yet the only unanswered question is how he will work with our lines being his an outcrossed sire.

Personally he seems like a breath of fresh air in a gene pool that is dwindling due to inbreeding! Back your bitch if she will throw she will throw! Look at his mum 3 matings a to produce him! I'm sure Paul wheeler learned heaps along the way!

Wish people would stop using the word 'FREAK'...

Damn good race dog of the highest quality...4 Group 1's...so far...

Champion SHOULD be reserved for ONLY the VERY best...he's IMO getting there...B.Lee IMO YES...Has the Group races ; The track records...and not a bad sire too...Yes there are others...

Also love that Lansley Bale's grand dam and Kobie Bale's grand dam are almost identically bred.

Can't wait.
