I know that my Fernando Bale obsession borders on compulsive. But I can't help but notice his progenys' desire to cross to the lead at the first turn is incredible. They deliberately accelerate into the first turn and don't mind dropping the shoulder in to get to the lead. Obviously only the good ones do it, but it's definitely an observable trait. Opinions?

Dixie,

Had a Fernando girl out of a litter sister to Mepunga Blazer.

She also crossed to the fence at the first turn.

Trouble was, she was consistently 8 lengths behind the second last dog at that stage.

Then she gave up.

She was the best one in the litter.

She might have had to shoulder the others on the way to the boxes.

George ferrugia was on 927 the other morning espousing the deeds of f.b as a stud dog. 25.5 million won by off spring this year.
Numbers say win% is 17%. Is it only the number of starters that flatter the stake money ie 44384
Aston dB win% 21
My redeemer win% 19 with 2874 starters
Superior panama win% 28 starters 405
Zipping Garth 23% 449 starters
Should overall wiin% not be considered

Or is it that he is a nice colour

Just discussion point not looking for an arguement

If he has a chink in his amour.....its a genetic defect.

I've got a litter of 10 by Fernando......4 males.
3 with no balls....the other has one ball.

Champion sire.....but I won't use him again.

Fernando has a growing list of sons at stud. Five years from now he will have a list of grandsons at stud. Fernando bitches already producing litters.
Fernando genetic defects will be increasing like COVID.
Probably already been raised, where in Fernando pedigree is the origins of this defective gene? Kelso F ? Gable Dodge ? Where from ?
So Fernando best sire in Aust but with negative consequences. With wastage % constantly eyeballed by antis etc we need to be more cautious with our breeding.
Easy to put our heads in the glory clouds of FB without looking down.
