I guess I should have read this first........ Connections of RIPPIN SAM (8) were questioned regarding the greyhounds actions passing the catching pen and on the turn into the back straight. Stewards had concerns with how truly RIPPIN SAM (8) was pursing the lure. After taking observations and viewing the lateral footage RIPPIN SAM (8) was given the benefit o f the doubt in regard to failing to purse the lure; Connections were advise d that stewards will continue to monitor the performances of the greyhound for the immediate future.
Mal it's a shame Tornado Tears had to be scratched in the heats...he is potentially the best stayer we have seen for some time IMO
I'll stick with Sam..

I'd take Tritt Tritt over both of them, already broken Nellie Noodles track record at shep 650m and had Rippen' Sam well and truly covered at his first try at 720m before straining a tendon. Either way there's going to be some red hot staying races coming up to look forward to.

Quick jagger is my pick of the lot. He has the biggest motor I bekeuve
I reckon two out, Rippin Sam and Tornado Tears would give him wind burn at the 600m mark
I highly doubt that Sandro but even if so I haven't seen to many 2 dog staying races
Mark, its just an opinion based on what I've seen so far, its just a mathematical equation
One comes from last and over 10 lengths off the lead to run 41.70
The other virtually leads all the way to run 41.72
The latter may actually end up winning more races because of the favourable racing traits, mathematically speaking, but the former is definitely faster and stronger, again mathematically speaking of course LOL

Respect your opinion Sandro but your working off a small sample size. Tritt tritt has had 1 go at 650m and broke a track record and his other start at the distance he suffered and injury bad enough to have him scratched from a group 1 final. I think you'll find he can burn the candle at both ends unlike the other two.

Mark what did Tornzdo Tears do at Sandown at his only 715m start?....went within half a length of Miata's track record off the back of a run in a group one 515m as a lead up!
