Malcolm.....He should have been called FREAKY FRANKY.
He lowered the track record by 0.57 seconds or 8 lengths.
He handles himself in a PACK, better than I've ever seen before.
P.S. He also smashed the track at Gunnendah 2 weeks ago in a solo when having his first look.

FERAL FRANKS gives Hooked On Scotch (who's been tags as the fastest sprinter in OZ) a towel licking & runs the hands of the clock at Sandown in a FFA last night.

Yep, too good last night on a concrete track.
To be fair, the second dog had a few bumps and traffic issues, but he may not have caught Franky anyway.

Feral Franky's mid race section was approx 13.54 which is what a top end group dog runs, and his race ptp was approx 23.90
I think from memory I only had My Bro Fabio and Angie Rocks (both 23.88 ptp) going faster.
That's sectionally very close to as good as it gets at Sandown, as far as a dogs 500m ability goes.

A real excitement machine for sure. I imagine he will be popular at stud as I believe Collisions have done well.
For racing purposes the bookies will love him. In really top company he will depend on getting away well, which he does not do very often. That's why he seldom runs really hot time (I set Gunnedah aside as a bit of an unknown). Hooked On Scotch has the same problem, which is why he had no hope of catching the better-beginning Feral at Sandown the other day.
Aside from a couple of 29.60s at Wenty, Feral has run only one really quick time - a 29.08 at Sandown.
Top feature races are almost all won by the first one or two around the corner. By definition the Feral can't do that very often. So demand good odds. He might be good getting through a field but by the time he gets there the bird has flown.

Interesting. Not sure too many Collision dogs have done that well. Let's hope Franky is an exception because he is exceptionally good.

Love watching the feral what a chaser, second dog a freak when he wants to put in. Didn't want to be there on the first turn and that was the difference

Me too Daryl. I wanted nothing more than to see him race over at least 600m.
It's like he's on "Remote control" the way he navigates his way through traffic. He would have clean up.

He was a great chasing dog as was the rest of his litter.
He is the type of stud dog we need to encourage breeders to go to.

G'day Ryan,the thing is mate,I think that most people would have seen the staying potential in him & I doubt that would not have worried too many who want to take their broodies to him,let's not forget,top notch stayer's have always ran sub 30 seconds over the "500",& inadvertently that is the difference between the elite & the average stayer's,& to be honest,I believe that would make him more valuable as a stud dog.Just my opinion,cheers mate.
