Hi Bruce
you mentioned the words commercial under taking, well we are far from that. We run by sate authorities people who work off budgets. And its very hard to run your department when others are ripping money from you.[Bathurst mob] What we need is wealth creators, someone who has a track record of sound business credentials.
The two biggest things that brought us to a slow motion status was
public service administration and transparency.
It must be time for the industry administrators to take back our industry. The welfare and anti organizations should be told to step back from all the boards/committees etc and let the administrators do there thing with greyhound friendly boards/committees. We have taken on board and put into place all recommendations from them. Transparency has had its desired effect to stall the industry. Unfortunately the state authority side of things may be a little hard to replace.
These state authorities are the people who created the problem we have now, with the short racing. people who put the breeding into a downward spiral, obvious no experience or understanding of the industries requirements. transparency at its finest.

Well the horses have shown how its done. Made our administration look amateurs as they have invested $9 million into country racing. The dollar value is inconsequential, its the placement of the monies that matters. Investing in the hard working bread and butter country/provincial owners/trainers is obvious a priority for racing nsw.
The horse racing is powering ahead and taking the bush with it.
question :- Why can't greyhound racing nsw learn from racing nsw?

Can GRNSW please explain what a "Twilight Meeting" is?
Dictionary states: Faint diffused light, Partial darkness, Half darkness etc.
Yet we are having meetings advertised at Lismore, each week now as "Twilight" and ending at 9.30pm. (That's a NIGHT meeting)

This is not Professional conduct. We are expected to nominate now, NOT KNOWING if the meeting is Twilight or Night. (Having to wait for the fields to come out, to ascertain the meeting)

If Twilight many Trainers need to rearrange Feeding times, and emptying out help if required. (Not everyone has home help 24/7)

This is 2021 after all.

Question is

Where do the Poeple in charge want to travel to work too ?

Its very obvious whats needed and it has been raised and thrown out the door and the bloke who raised the point walked out with it !

The idea or blue print for a great industry is simple

In short , every main area should have a 5-7 week long carnival

Not one place getting the cream all year round ie Wenty park or Richmond , which might I add are closing due to track failure every month ????

All classes should be catered for and top greyhounds and trainers of all walks should be made to travel !

You want the money , you travel ! And all the smaller towns and peoples and their lower class dogs get their fair share !

It aint rocket science

Country towns should be able to aim for that one period that is allocated to them every year !

But none of this will happen

Who wants to travel 5 hours When you have all the cream at your doorstep

Embarrassing , narrow minded ,greedy and lazy setup

Cheers as always , good luck

Ps . Keep towing the line and wait to be told what and where to put your dog by a computer ??? Gwic and clubs in charge cant even set up the kennel area to a standard where your dog actually rests before it competes

All kennels doors For each race have open viewing So every dog kennelled 1-3 watches up to 8 races prepare and half of those races watch them go home ???

Like seriously , all hot air imop on all matters, when you cant even get your own club to a welfare standard that we are compelled to abide by at our own property !
