I think people would be surprised at the costs and staff involved in keeping GD up and running and development cost to continually improve the services provided. $50 is less than a dollar a week ,this is not a lot to receive the knowledge this forum provides.
Cheers jack

Agree Jack and that's a lot better than your $2 a testmating idea that would send me broke....I'd have to sell the Mrs and kids. Now that you mention it "Broodie for sale" Needs pink card, had three previous litters 2 boys 1 girl all yafflers, will not separate, package deal lol

I'd just recommend if you can afford to chip in towards GD costs it would all help.

P.S Tony when is my membership due? may be interested in a swap....

No need for apologies Daryl. I'm all for it if my post gets hi-jacked in the name of G-D & $$$. G-D need all the help they can get as this site has been running on the smell of an oily rag for years. Without the pedigree side of things, the greyhound industry WORLD-WIDE, would be lost.

Must admit Daryl, your words -

Agree with the first half...but the last half I totally detest bro.

So I can understand why Sandro had a dig.......But then again, if we were all sitting around the table (at the pub) this conversation would have flowed like water under the bridge with no drama's & I'd by saying something like.......Is it my bl00dy shout again Lol, and we'd be all in agreement & moving on to the next greyhound topic.

While we're on the topic of "Hi-Jack"....I see Kev has seen the light and is finally looking for a place around the sunshine state or nearby. Looking forward to having a beer with ya. If you're coming up for the Bundy Cup Kev, look me up & if the BBQ area is finished, we'll share an ale or 2 dozen lol.

I luv youse all.

P.S.... Come on CLUBS. Support Greyhound-Data & drop Tony a message.

I will be up your way Steve and we will catch up for a drink...
I have seen the light Dan Andrews and the GRV are D1ckheads .

Yes best to lock up your wifes as well
i will be looking for some free power to recharge the batteries.
Do they have Camel jockeys over 100kg if so i could be persuaded to put on some silks depending on the amount of bundy consumed ...I do have seating for four Legals but im sure we can load in at least a dozen people so who knows we may all be taking a road trip to Boulia Camel racers ..JQ

hi you say clubs [grv] may not be supporting you .
kevin you get on here as part of the administration and can grv , clubs and anyone else who does not support your views.
I think At one point data was at an all time low because of your costant canning of everyone.
Grv would read this data and i think would not support it partly because of your action.
Consider what you post.
this post will be self destructed in 20 seconds lol

All good Sandro, but here we go again, more personal attacks...& all be cause I exercised right of having my own opinion,& then you say I can't accept criticism,& that's where we differ mate.

I offered my opinion,an opinion that was different to other's,but YOU took exception to that & decided to make it personal, & you still are.
For the record Sandro,i certainly don't " kiss arse & pander " to anyone,& as far as Kev's reply go's,you claim that he had a " dig back " at YOU on " MY BEHALF",...fair dinkum Sandro, are you serious ??,

Sandro,we have had many conversations over the years,& at times,we have different opinions, but as most do on G/D,we respect & accept everyone's opinions, whether we think it's wrong or right.

There is no need to be sorry for having you're opinion Sandro, you have every right to that as we all do mate.

You are just way too precious mate.

If you want to be everybodys friend by pandering to them thats your business.

I made a suggestion, you are the one that went on the holier than thou bandwagon.

You can call me whatever you like but the fact remains that Greyhound-Data is a commercial business and needs funds to keep running and improve its range of services.

You may call that 3rd paragraph was an attack, yes, it was a dig.

You like to play both sides of the fence then?

You say you are happy to pay a yearly fee but when it is suggested as a fee for a number of test matings then its heinous...what's the difference?

Call it whatever you want, but the site needs funds to run, whether its from clicking on Google Ads or testmating or membership subscriptions.

And Kevin is correct, and I agree with him despite him having a dig back at me on your behalf.

What he is correct about is how many times over the years Tony has told me, he and Jason have had to put their own money to support the site.

It seems you just can't take the criticism of your own comments

Sorry if it differs to yours...but that's my opinion mate

I would suggest there should be an easier way to sign up to GD membership. I clicked on membership, filled in the fields and pushed send. Approx 1 week later a gentleman rang and left a message on my phone on a Saturday night at 8.00pm.
Is there an easier way or is this the process?

I fully agree i tried last year and today it is a hard to join data
as you said a person rings couple weeks later may leave a message but when you call back cannot get a contact.
so messy.

Ha ha ha ha ha...dear oh dear, well there you have it folks,I AM WRONG,for having a differing opinion, but hey, that's what forums are about,& that's ok with me.

Oh,i forgot to mention,at no point did i suggest that paying for testmatings was,in Sandro's words,"heinous",i just disagreed....how dare I.

Bugger me,i hope you don't suggest that we pay to have an opinion Sandro,or even reply to a post,we would all go frigin broke,LOL.

Try to have a good day old mate.

I can tell you are not a tradesman your quality of workmanship is lacking ....

Maybe consider what you post Robby and back up what you say with FACTS and Prove it
If you have not got the facts to shoot me down in regards to the GRV and the Sandown Syndicates then i suggest you go talk to all of your buddies you must be littered with them in the sport hey Robby

You have been training the same slow dogs every since i first started out many years ago so what is your secret to success because surely its not your fabrication skills or training ability that has got you this far in Life Mr Tin Man ....

SNAP ....

PS
Just for your info only Robby ...I am not part of the admin team on the forum i have for the past 8 years shared created and posted on Facebook Data all over the World helping to share stories articles Vids and pics into every Greyhound Group on Social Media....

People either love me or hate me with a passion and i would not have it any other way
I do not blow smoke up the big boys backsides like you Robby and i do not support the GRV and Alan Claytons lies and i do not support Sandown Syndicates ran by Greg Miller both of these men are no good for the sport they are takers not givers
Go and ask the GOTBA WHY THEY DON'T SPEAK TO THE GRV ask them why Alan Clayton and Greg Miller have now blacklisted the Vic GOTBA .

Hmmm, sorry Steve, I have no idea why clubs wouldn't want to involve themselves on this site.

Such a welcoming atmosphere.

The Irish and the Brits must just shake their heads in disbelief at us children

JQ Where else can you get free entertainment

Once upon a time, in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake.

By a surprising coincidence, both were blind from birth. One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down.

This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit. ''Oh, my,'' said the bunny, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I've been blind since birth, so I can't see where I'm going. In fact, since I'm also an orphan, I don't even know what I am.''

''It's quite OK,'' replied the snake. ''Actually, my story is as yours. I too have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you , and work out what you are so at least you'll have that going for you.''

''Oh, that would be wonderful'', replied the bunny. So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, ''Well, you're covered with soft fur, you have really long ears, your nose twitches, and you have a soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny rabbit.''

'Oh, thank you, thank you!!' cried the bunny, in obvious excitement. The bunny suggested to the snake, ''Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw, and help you the same way that you've helped me.''

So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, ''Well, you're smooth and slippery, and you have a forked tongue, no backbone and no balls.

I'd say you must be either a team leader, supervisor or possibly someone in senior management.

PS
I dont even think there is one single Brit or Irishman who owns a Gold star many only worry about the ratings but the rest of us see the ratings as being pointless

Daryl it is funny how some see this forum as entertainment others see it as something else .

Over the many years i have been posting on data i have seen people come and go its the way a Forum evolves you must have a mix of personalities to help keep the forum relevant otherwise when a forum is silent it then falls away into the abyss ..

If you have a opinion then you should be able to air it and i laugh when people say they don't chat on here anymore because of so and so or this or that and to me thats a cop out ..

I copped years of people Bagging me my dogs my stud dogs and my family and it was relentless on here and on other forums i sold hundreds of Vials to people who hated me all over the World so when Clowns start calling me out because of the way i post into this forum then i have silence the Lambs

Food for thought Daryl

To me it is all about free speech

The internet supports a global ecosystem of social interaction. Modern life revolves around the network, with its status updates, news feeds, comment chains, political advocacy, omnipresent reviews, rankings and ratings. For its first few decades, this connected world was idealized as an unfettered civic forum: a space where disparate views, ideas and conversations could constructively converge. Its creators were inspired by the optimism .

Anonymity, a key affordance of the early internet, is an element attributed to enabling bad behavior and facilitating uncivil discourse in shared online spaces. The purging of user anonymity is seen as possibly leading to a more inclusive online environment and also setting the stage for governments and dominant institutions to even more freely employ surveillance tools to monitor citizens, suppress free speech and shape social debate

Most experts predicted that the builders of open social spaces on global communications networks will find it difficult to support positive change in cleaning up the real-time exchange of information and sharing of diverse ideologies over the next decade, as millions more people around the world become connected for the first time and among the billions already online are many who compete in an arms race of sorts to hack and subvert corrective systems.

Those who believe the problems of trolling and other toxic behaviors can be solved say the cure might also be quite damaging. One of the biggest challenges will be finding an appropriate balance between protecting anonymity and enforcing consequences to those abused or misled in the current online environment while expressing concerns that the most likely solutions will allow governments and big businesses to employ surveillance systems that monitor citizens, suppress free speech and shape discourse via algorithms, allowing those who write the algorithms to sculpt civil debate.

Cyberattacks, doxing, and trolling will continue, while social platforms, security experts, ethicists, and others will wrangle over the best ways to balance security and privacy, freedom of speech, and user protections. A great deal of this will happen in public view. The more worrisome possibility is that privacy and safety advocates, in an effort to create a more safe and equal internet,

Of course, this is already happening, just out of sight of most of us. The worst outcome is that we end up with a kind of Potemkin internet in which everything looks reasonably bright and sunny, which hides a more troubling and less transparent reality.

As more people get internet access and especially smartphones, which allow people to connect 24/7 there will be increased opportunities for bad behavior .
My fear is that because of the virtually unlimited opportunities for negative use of social media globally we will experience a rising worldwide demand for restrictive regulation.

Social media forums are a brilliant tool as i did years ago i payed to play i used Greyhound Data as a tool to help get sales of over 300 Vials so to me it is a no brainer Greyhound Data good or bad gives you the best bang for your buck ..... no other Greyhound site page or forum could of achieved a quarter of my success i achieved on GD ..

$1200 A year to advertise a stud dog is chump change when you compare to the other options for point of sale ..
