Is there still a goba here as i have heard nothing in a long time? As far as i can see its non existent at present. But yet our goba has introduced new policies regarding our trials on behalf of its members without even any correspondents to its members?? Correct me if i am wrong goba is an association? Not a 1or2 man/woman show that we all should have a say....
Finton there is a invisible Man making those decisions the same as the Invisible People who book trials and dont turn up . GOBA cant have meetings owing to pandemic, and when they do hold a Meeting where are all the People who want improvements at the track ?
But mary the people at the top have said i quote the goba have introduced this and pushed for this on our the people agenda, the GOBA want this who are a few to dictate this for is all. We the only track doing this and a small minority want this because they cant book trials sorry now but they cant pre book trials as they used to. Am fair play to try something new but this isnt the way. Punish those who dont use there trials not every one should suffer. And i think its a disgrace that the people of goba who are supposed to represent us all used a comment in a meeting to say this was proposed by its members when they cant even sort out there own top table...
How can anyone sort it when people book block trials and dont turn up ,it just means others cant get a trial .Now they ask people to pay for trials in advance when they phone you for payment one day before your trials , you can cancel then if you dont need them that gives a chance for others to get a trial I would like to hear from you what you think is the solution,I am sure the people at the top table would love to hear it .
Mary, It simple we are being punished because of the select few. PUNISH those people its simple, why not our managher phone that person at the end of the trial session and bar him from booking a trial for we say 2weeks. Simple as. Block booking is bull in my opinion you can only book 5trials in any session. That time sheet is like mohammed ali in his prime ducking and diving and 'sheet' not there most of the time!!! Can recall 5fridays in a row printer was broke we were told.. Grand to pay for trials but I would like to see the terms and conditions written down somewhere before i will pay. MAYBE THE PRINTER IS BROKE AGAIN!!!
Finton if I was you I would go to advisory committee and if they cant help you try Mr Dollard as He would much prefer you spoke to him instead of on this forum .
Mary as you only too well know we banging our head against a brick wall in there. We are expected to lie down and take it again. The goba is non existent and track managher and two people on the advisory committee have told me 'the goba are behind this and pushed for it' Mary as a goba member were you notified about this? As all our members pushed for this. Powers of our goba is representing a minority and not its members simple as. Other goba are able to give correspondence to its members even in a pandemic. Except we have a bunch out for themselves in my opinion.
In your opinion Mary should a meeting be called possibly an EGM?? Minority speaking for a majority who have been told nothing doesnt work. Limerick and clare goba is non existent so how can they bring in changes on our behalf when they arent communicating too its members.
Who is going to call it Finton ? who is going to go Finton?the same ones who moan and moan the goba is doing nothing . I would love to see you at a meeting where you can have your say as actions speak louder than words it is useless trying to get things done by complaining on here is like pushing water up a HILL .

fair play to you Finton who are you going to get to arrange a meeting Leo or Micheal Martin? I cant go in to watch my race if my kennell hand takes out my dog , only 2 households can meet up,and you are going to get crowds at a GOBA meeting ...where were all those people when they cut run money, breeders money, ect. I wish you the best of luck Finton but I am afraid you will have to do wonders and Sh--e Miracles
Mary goba all over the country are able to correspond with its members in the car park on race nights its very easy to arrange something small. What else u want to do sit back and let the few implement what they want on our behalf without us knowing.

My opinion is not and we need to do something about this and i will do my best to try and make something happen in the coming days.
I would like to know how many owners in limerick are happy with the SIS meetng now with the prizemoney being so small?In my opinion we would be better off getting our friday night racing back and be running for the same prizemoney as the sat night.We were running dogs for better money 20 years ago.Were the GOBA asked about the reduction in prizemoney at the time it was implemented?
Exactly katherine, this is my point that was allowed to happen and this now is happening and where is it going to stop. They way we are going with no correspondence from the so called representing us they will have us sponsoring our own races soon enough. I've had enough.
Mary, Spoke with 4differnt people today on the matter. Some good feed back and one short and sweet feed back perhaps some people have a problem with free speech and forget about the owners who are the most important in the industry and they should be listening to us the owners who are keeping them in there jobs. A meeting will be held asap as and when is safe to do so. Am delighted to have spoken to Ger because he listened too my points we may not agree on everything but we spoke about it etc. Trials on a 3month trial basis Mary. I will not be pre paying for my trials and if i stand alone on that so be it but i think we have to make a stand at some stage. I am not interested or out to offend anyone at all but i am strongly against what they are doing and time has come for us to stand together. What reprocussions is going to come my way out loud or silently i not worried because all we want is a small bit of fair play and respect.

I'm not into politics tbh, im simply 1 man and his dog who would like to have a race at Limerick with my lad, but i must have looked at trial schedule for the last 12 weeks now & ive never seen a spare slot!...........does anyone know what time the trial schedule is published as perhaps if i got a trial or two i could enter to race in the future.
