This is such an unnecessary and unfounded comment.. the traces that where found in his system were that of somebody touching drugs with a $50 note, then it being passed around 200 times, and then the last person who touched the note, pats their dog 4 hours later. If you were on the receiving end as such, not sure you would appreciate those sorts of comments either.

Last 3 starts missed the break. Cant afford to miss the start in greyhound racing. 4th start back threw everything he had at Tommy Shelby who was supremely at the top of his game.

Grant,

For what it is worth here are my thoughts.

If you purely look at the results of his past three runs you could argue that they appear slightly diappointing and definitely down from his form leading up to and including his second to Tommy Shelby in the Easter Egg Final back in April, however, if you watch the replays and look objectively at his past three runs excuses can be found, or at least put forth, as too perhaps why.

One aspect of all three runs which cannot be argued is that the dog has failed to jump on terms (as Darren mentioned), which in essence has put him at a major disadvantage straight away, as it does with all dogs, but moreso racing against FFA class company.

Wentworth Park, 5th of June, lunged forward anticipating the break, hit the front of the boxes, came out two lengths behind the then leader Diamantina Rose, and by the time he balanced up was four lengths off Bones McCoy at the winning post, he then compounded his position by galloping into Royal Emgrand on the first turn.

Albion Park, 17th of June, again lunges forward anticipating the break, hits the front of the boxes and is two and a half lengths off the leader after two strides. Was always struggling to make ground and was basically five lengths or so off the leader for the rest of the race ...bear in mind the leader, and eventual winner, Orchestrate was running 29.66 up front, which meant Wow would have needed to be running home in 12.41 to beat him, which is faster than Sennachie ran when he ran the record.

Wentworth Park, 23rd of June, was again only averagely away, and was three lengths off the leader at the post, however, with the aid of his "favourite" box, box 8, stayed wide, missed any interference into the first turn and staying wide managed to get to the lead on the top turn. At this point one would think - "how far", but as he attempted to cross to the rails he gets galloped on, not once, but twice, by Ivy Conniving (1), which hampers his momentum, and in doing so sees Drinks Moet pass him.

Jakota, as an aside, your comment infers (rightly or wrongly), that Grant is possibly asking a question(s) other than what he actually typed.

Thats a good summation David - the dog has been hesitant to jump since badly hitting the lids at Wenty & possibly again in the next start.
Good luck to connections for a turnaround soon.

Run was massive. Have a look at the ground covered on the head on shot. Incredible run. Then legs taken out on home turn.

3 years ago you would find a way back from injury via some provincial races, then when match fit, back to Wenty top grade and group races.

Now days, with top grade provisional races hard to find and the current grading system, its straight to Wenty. Very hard for any dog to go straight to the top without racing. It takes a few runs to get timing and peak fitness only achieved through racing.

I think he will come on in his next few starts.

There is only one post above yours - where did someone say he was better on the gear before your initial post?

I think I've caused the confusion, my apologies.

I posted the "Goes better on gear" comment. If you couldn't see the tongue in cheek nature of the comment you are either foolish or a typically over-sensitive millennial.

As I've said on here previously.

Great dog, with a deadset ripper name.

Having lost a group placing to a positive swab many years ago myself, who am I to point fingers.

The dog doesn't possess early speed and needs luck in running. His last few run he hasn't got that luck, nothing more nothing less.

To be honest I dont think anyone who reacts negatively to your original comment, has to be either of the 2 stereo types you described.

A lot of peoples careers and lives have been destroyed by these types of charges with minimal traces. If you say you have been charged before, Im sure somehow you would understand.

The dog at his best, is a very very fast animal. But Id never underestimate what losing his best friend has done to his Raceday ability.

Anyway, how's WOW? Any news on when he'll be running again?

Love the name. We might get a LOL in the near future, but that's not a hint either, LOL.

Ive just added him to the list so I can follow his performances. I thought someone stated that he had a change of kennels a few starts back.

Tomorrow, he'll start favourite. Danielle Matic would have trialled him there.
