It was because Goulburn was graded city today. Pretty much everything and anything was a 5th grade because wenty barely ever has 280m races (up to 421m distance range).
Matics winner 2 races prior to Wows was running in FFA last week too

Yes, thanks for that Matt.
Still think it's somewhat "crazy", but that's just my opinion.

David easy way to go is to grade every race with provincial grading but pay city money only on them city meetings. If you look at it the other way Wow only got paid 5th grade money instead of F.F.A money. They did advertise for a f.f.a. race over 350m and i think those dogs were f,f,a. but technically there not .

Thanks Mark.
Yes, I think we all know that most, if not all those dogs engaged in that race were 4th grade or higher at Provincial level, but designate a meeting "City" and the grading can/does alter dramatically (division pending).
Further, as you said, on the flipside it allowed GRNSW to pay out 5th grade money as opposed to FFA money, or indeed 1st to 4th grade money ...ah! technicalities, don't you just love em.
The abovementioned said, and my grading opinions aside, it doesn't alter the fact that it was still an mighty impressive win by Wow.

He has proved a few of his critics wrong. Still breaking track records & winning. That's all a greyhound can do. Anybody would give their eye teeth to have such a gifted animal in their kennel. Just my thoughts folks.

Great dog, with a deadset ripper name.
The dog doesn't possess early speed and needs luck in running. His last few run he hasn't got that luck, nothing more nothing less.
Um, yes he does... they just had to find it.
Jumped and won !

Absolute flyer, I'd love to see him race against top city and group company again now he's stepping better.
