Am interested in others thoughts on the results of Over Limit since he went to stud. On data only 832 offspring. FB 3556 & BB 5881.

Hello

Like a high percentage of sires he throws offspring that are successful over a range of distances, however, I think hed be a great match to bitches that are slightly short runners over the 480 to 500 metre distances (but NOT sprinters) as he does often inject that little bit of extra stamina

I have a son of his called DRAHBEG DASH, hes got a great temperament and was speedy enough to be seriously competitive over 480 metres at Category 1 level but also stay 660 metres, hes been a bit prone to niggles from the age of two and a half elsewise hed have been a bit of a star (in my opinion of course)

Im going to use him as a sire over one of my own bitches, she could do top class sectionals, she won at A1 level over the 480 metres but that was every inch as far as she wanted to go, hence Im hoping its a good match.

Hope this helps you a bit.

Cheers

Hi Paul, thankyou for that. I notice a large percentage of his progeny are in the UK etc. I like him but as a sire in a "competitive" market here in Australia, he is over priced imho.

That sort of double cross is done in Australia all the time. Go for it.
