Hi Carly From what Ive seen which is from limited time and not a GRP trainer I havent seen too many Poeple being able to change or correct a dogs running style or pattern etc They are what they are and some get smarter or better with racing over time imop To try and help or curb his trait or not encourage it , try straight tracking him with a drag infront of the boxes , like Appin or Capalaba style only and put him in box 1 so the drag should be outside his right shoulder , do it twice solo for confidence and a chance for him to find his pattern and get eye in Then bait him the third time (him still in box 1 ) and with another dog in box 4 who u know will jump straight This might encourage him to drift out to challenge him head to head Twice also Then go to track and slip him , but dont stand up off the track , stand as close down in the curb of the track close next to the arm ( without being hit ) so he runs straight when let go , as apposed to standing off the track and encouraging driving left coz your to far away from arm If all this fails , throw it all away and stop doing target runs , try only call ups with no drag for a month , Ive seen call up dogs wonder all over the straight having a ball and do the same thing on the track Doing only call ups with no target of drag may encourage him to relax and run free and with luck WIDE. Good luck , but dont hold ya breathe
