Kim and Colin Fritzler have had AKC dogs for almost three decades and Kim is the President of WINDROCK Inc. There are four generations of owner-handled BIS dogs in our pedigrees and most of the greyhounds we have bred achieve their titles owner-handled. We are best known for our WINDROCK line of show and field Champions, however we are equally as proud of the numerous pet, 4-H and therapy dogs that enrich the lives of so many people.

Our breeding objective is to produce the perfect companion-- beautiful, healthy greyhounds that have a sweet gentle character. That said, we embrace the fact that the greyhound was bred to run, and that true ability can only be proven by actual performance--either on the coursing field or in pursuit of live game. Show ring wins are wonderful, but never at the expense of ability. Form must follow function. Yet, we all have seen dogs that are super talented and those who were incredible winners-- but what good are all those ribbons if the animals that won them are too neurotic to be good pets or are plagued by extensive health problems??

As responsible and dedicated breeders, we recognize importance of identifying and eliminating such animals from the gene pool is first and foremost. Our rigid criteria of breeding only the very best has resulted in a line of winning show and/or field titled greyhounds that pass thorough health screening in addition to being well-adjusted and much loved house companions!

In our ongoing efforts to produce superior representatives of the breed, we test our hounds mettle by seeking out the toughest competition on the coursing field and in the show ring. WINDROCK greyhounds' resounding success is solid testimony to this dedication! Days off will find our dogs entertaining at local schools or nursing homes, or engaging in public functions acting as good-will ambassadors for the breed.

Occasionally, WINDROCK will have pups and/or started youngsters available to approved homes. We have retired champions available on a limited basis. Dogs are placed on written contract. We sell our best to owner-handlers and actively mentor our puppy buyers. We have many happy puppy buyers and are glad to provide references from buyers and other breeders. If we don't have what you are looking for, we will help you to locate another breeder.

July 2008. WINDROCK'S imported black dog, the impressive Sobers Ippolito takes his THIRD straight GCA specialty major!! "Ayden" finishes his AKC Ch with 3 consecutive 5 pt Specialty major wins!! If that isn't a record, it should be--Huge Congrads to Ayden's breeders, SOBERS KENNELS Of Italy. DC Windrock I've Got A Secret SC "Whisper" wins Best Dual Champion and her puppies dominate all the placements in the regular classes 6-9 Mos Puppy! MBIF FC Windrock Lookin'Better EveryBeer SC FCH "Tipsey" wins the Coursing Bitch class and WINDROCK retires 3 more of the GCA's coveted Perpetual Trophies!!

At the GCA National Specialty Lure Course, WINDROCK takes a clean sweep with Ayden winning the Open Stake for a 5 pt Major and MBIF FC Windrock Candle In the Wind SC, "Amber" wins BOB!! Ayden also received a special award for being the Highest Scoring Champion in Trial. "Tipsey" was BOB at the Inland Wilderness LC Trial for the second year in a row!

July 2008 RFKC AKC Shows. WINDROCK is proud to announce another Dual Champion!! Huge congrats to BIF DC DM Summer Squall of Scatpack SC FCH bred by Elaine and Rob Summerhill and Laurel Drew. "Javelin" is co-owned by Windrock with the Summerhills and she lives at WINDROCK. Kennelmate "Cash" keeps racking up the wins and takes back to back major wins! Wicked wins WB,BOW for her second major!

May 2008 USRCC Memorial weekend AKC trials. "Wicked" avenges previous defeats to kennalmate "Amber" by winning back-to-back majors and a BIF to complete her AKC FC! Sobers Ippolito puts in an inspiring performance to earn his second leg for his JC!

May 2008 RMBC AKC Trials--We are elated to announce our veteran DC Windrock Mamma Mia LCX Fch, "Naughty" earned her last points to become a LCX! (Lure Courser Excellent) Amber (MBIF FC Windrock Candle in the Wind SC) wins ANOTHER BIF and is BOB both days. Windrock Hocus Pocus SC earns her Senior Courser title and won back-to-back Winners Bitch at AKC shows the previous weekend!

AWFC AKC Trials-April 2008--MBIF FC Windrock Candle In The Wind SC, finished her AKC Field Championship with 2 back-to-back five point major wins and a BIF. (Amber finished her AKC FC in a flash with 3 5pt wins and 2 BIFS!! WOW!) Kennelmate Windrock Hocus Pocus JC has run a close second to her all three times and has 8 pts!

Huge congratulations to the stunning puppy Ch Windrock Blue Sky Morning--SBIS and Group winner--he's Canada's #1 Greyhound for 2007! In addition to 2 new ASFA Fchs, we celebrate another new Dual Champion, Windrock Stray Cat Strut SC,Fch!
DC Windrock Outlaw Josie Wales achieves Top Ten ASFA rankings and is the AKC's top coursing Greyhound female for 2007!! "Josie" won BOB at the AKC National LC competition and was also Best DC at the GCA National! The brilliant young Windrock Candle In The Wind JC stunned us by being the second greyhound in more than 30 YEARS to win BIF at the 2007 Grand National!! "Amber" also won a 5 pt Major by winning BIF in her FIRST AKC Lure Trial! FC Windrock Lookin'Better Every Beer FCH wins the Windwalker Memorial for the second consecutive year!

WINDROCK has an impressive showing at the 2006 ASFA II, winning both the Open & Field Champion Stakes and BOB! Our coursers also won the Breeder Stakes both days! "Tipsey" wins another BIF and is BOB at the Grand National and is in the ASFA's top 15! "Emma" wins yet ANOTHER specialty major owner-handled! "Whisper", in spite of herself, becomes a Dual Champion!

WINDROCK greyhounds swept all three days of the 2005 Grand National!! DC Windrock Mamma Mia FCH was the #1 AKC coursing greyhound in 2005 and has won EIGHT BIF!!!
